Catalogue of the exhibition Carlos Sáenz de Tejada. Drawings for "La Libertad" , produced by ARTIUM of Alava. This is a selection of the original drawings published by the artist over a period of 15 years in the aforementioned liberal-democratic newspaper, during the years that preceded the outbreak of the Civil War. Tejada collaborated with «La Libertad» as an illustrator uninterruptedly between 1920 and 1934. His approach to art, on occasions similar to photojournalism, embraced day-to-day and “costumbrist” scenes and, especially, events that illustrated the ambience of change and modernization in which he lived.
