Juncal Ballestín. [Izenbururik gabea / Sin título / Untitled] 1978 / 1981

The series of paintings on wood by Juncal Ballestín (1953-2015) was donated to the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Basque Country, Artium Museoa, by the Anesvad Foundation in 2021.

Starting her artistic journey in the 1970s, Juncal Ballestín pursued the objectification of painting. She delved into mail art, the object-poem, and installations, developing a unique artistic language.

Her creative archive, also donated to the museum, offers a deeper insight into her work, originating from her home-studio in Otazu, Álava.
